Special Needs
1. Chiang Mai Counseling Center in Thailand: On October 1, 2004 a new counseling center co-sponsored by the Narramore Christian Foundation to serve missionary families from throughout Southeast Asia was commenced. Individual missionaries, couples, and children will be coming to the Center for Christian counseling. The counselors will also be available to travel to nearby countries for crisis intervention in times of emergency.
2. MK Reentry Seminars: Each year 75-80 sons and daughters of missionaries take NCF's life-changing 12-day reentry program. Room, board, psychological and vocational testing, lectures, group and individual counseling, and recreational activities cost over $1100 per student. Since NCF only charges a $150 registration fee, we depend on Christian friends to donate the rest.

3. Missionary Psychological Services: Each year NCF partners with a group of outstanding Christian psychologists to offer crisis intervention, personal and family counseling, retreats, training seminars, and other activities to help missionary families cope with the stresses and rigors created by ministering in difficult areas of the world.

4. Literature and Website Ministry: Countless lives are touched annually through NCF's web site and printed literature. These biblically based and psychologically insightful materials provide understanding and practical help in coping with problems like ADHD, anxiety, family issues, bipolar disorders, self-esteem, burnout, and schizophrenia. All of the materials can be downloaded free of charge from NCF's web site.

5. Philippine Outreach: NCF is partnering with the Asia Graduate School of Theology to develop a critically needed doctoral program in Christian counseling in the Greater Manila area. NCF is providing books, consultation, short-term faculty, and scholarships for needy graduate students.

6. Scholarships for International Students and Students Preparing to Minister Internationally: NCF helps to financially support outstanding Christian psychology doctoral students who intend to minister overseas. Some are U.S.students committed to international service and others are international students.

7. Hong Kong and Southeast Asia Ministry: NCF's staff associate in Hong Kong offers low-fee counseling for Chinese pastors and missionaries suffering from stress, burnout, and family problems.He also offers regular training seminars for Chinese pastors in Malaysia.
