About the Authors
Bruce Narramore, Ph.D., president of the Narramore Christian Foundation, is a licensed psychologist. He also serves as Distinguished Professor of Psychology of the Rosemead School of Psychology, Biola University. Dr. Narramore is a well-known, best-selling author, a contributing editor to the Journal of Psychology and Theology, and a Fellow of the Divisions of Clinical Psychology and Psychologist Interested in Religious Issues of the American Psychological Association. Bruce lives in Southern California.
Bill Counts, M.A., Th.M., D.Min. is senior pastor of the Fellowship Bible Church in Dallas, Texas. He has also served on Campus Crusade for Christ staff and taught biblical studies and theology at Rosemead School of Psychology.
Dr. Clyde Narramore (Retired) founded the Narramore Christian Foundation in the early 1950s. He received his graduate degrees from Columbia University. Dr. Clyde is a licensed psychologist, a nationally known speaker, author, and pioneer in the field of Christian psychology. His radio Broadcast, Psychology For Living, was aired nationally for many years. He is the author of 27 books and more than 50 booklets on topics dealing with everyday problems. He was the founding president of the Rosemead School of Psychology.
Richard (Dick) Innes, M.A. is the Founder and Director of ACTS International and ACTS Communications. He is a former editor of Psychology for Living magazine published by the Narramore Christian Foundation, a Christian mental health organization located in Southern California. He is also an instructor in the Divorce and Grief Recovery ministry at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California. He has authored three books: Besides You Can't Fly with a Broken Wing he has authored the best seller, I Hate Witnessing, and How to Mend a Broken Heart. He has written more than 250 Encounter brochure articles—40 million of which have been distributed in several countries. He has led seminars and spoken to many groups in Australia, New Zealand, and the U.S., and is the author of Daily Encounter, the week-day email devotional of ACTS International which goes to 185,000+ readers worldwide, and editor of Weekend Encounter going to 10,000+ readers worldwide. Originally from Australia Dick has lived in Southern California since the early 1980s.
John D. Carter, Ph.D. is a Christian psychologist who serves on the faculty of Trinity College in Southern California. Dr. Carter has published a variety of articles on the integration of psychology and theology. He has previously served as a professor of psychology at the Rosemead School of Psychology and as a Scholar in Residence at the Psychological Studies Institute, Atlanta, Georgia.
