Confidence has to do with competence. It reflects our belief that we have God-given talents and abilities to use as we go through life. When we lack confidence, we feel tense, anxious, and unsure of our ability to perform a task. Feeling this way we can either give in to our self-doubts and become passive and dependent, or we can become driven, pushy, or power-hungry in a vain attempt to mask our feelings about ourselves. While all of us lack some confidence, many have deep-down feelings that prevent them from becoming all that God would have them be.
